Recommended Daily Allowance: None established.  The RDA of protein provides sufficient amount of sulfur.

Physiological Effects: Constituent of amino acids, hormones, vitamins, lipids, and enzymes. Aids in secretion of bile.

Deficiency Disorders: Anemia, hypoproteinemia, inhibition of hair growth.

Natural Sources: Liver and other meats, fish, cabbage, brussel sprouts, dried beans.

Synergistic Substances: B complex vitamins.

Antagonistic Substances: None known.
