5 Changes for health & wellness
1. Exercise (ANY) - We are designed to move - give your body a reason to be healthy and live longer
Exercise is hands down better at regulating stress, depression, and overall well being.
2. Drink More Water - A flowing river can't develop kidney stones or concentrate toxins
Drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water a day; athletes should consume 1 ounce per body pound. If you drink too much, you may pee more, this is fantastic - get rid of the toxins and the crystals that form stones! It will also lower abnormal blood pressure.
3. Meditation - The Relaxation Response (and exercise) is one of the few things that can down regulate our stress responses.
Most people have continued stress which can manifest into anxiety, depression, hypertension, etc... We can't get rid of our jobs, spouse, children, neighbors and traffic, but we can find simple effective ways to bring that stress level down.
4. Eat ONLY FOOD, real food, God made food. Mostly vegetables, mostly raw. Treat meat as a side dish, ditch the beef, chicken and pork in lieu of fatty fish. Eat lots of seeds, nuts, legumes.
Read the ingredients, we are consuming more pseudofoods than real food. The trade off is that the food is that we are designing and consuming foods that are designed to last longer at the direct expense of our own longevity. Soon the food will out live us. Eat things that actually have lived, died and are in a state of decay. If the food doesn't break down, it ain't helping you and it is surely hurting you.
5. Ditch the household chemicals - if you can't drink it or eat it, you probably don't want to clean with it.
Lemon, baking soda, and vinegar to clean just about everything. Most household chemicals are neurotoxic to you, your children and your pets. You end up with a clean house and a sick family. Also remember that most pesticides and herbicides work because they screw up the immune system of the critter, yet they also affect you and your family in much the same way.
